The car

The 1970 Charger is the second year of the loop-bumper body, with a chrome surround that runs the full width of the nose and the tail. R/T meant the 440 Magnum as the standard engine — 375 hp from a single four-barrel, with a TorqueFlite behind it — and it also meant the heavy-duty suspension, the bigger brakes and the 8¾ in rear axle. It is a two-ton coupé with a 117 in wheelbase and very little interest in being nimble.
